Here is the topless pie, brimming with big cherries...
And here is the pre-bake pic...A peek inside, post-baking...The final masterpiece....any day can be a holiday, or an excuse to make dessert! Also, I have another tester recipe for you, courtesy of lovely Vegan Crunk Bianca's upcoming cookbook! This week was a Vegan Buttermilk Biscuits with Gravy...a southern staple that is just delicious. The twist on the recipe was that it is a Chocolate Gravy! It may sound kind of weird at first, but I trusted Bianca and gave it a shot...and it is so good! It is kind of like the down-home version of the European tradition of Nutella with pastries for breakfast! It reminded me a little of a thinner pudding, but it wasn't too sweet or anything. I'm thinking it would be even better to put a little raspberry jam on the biscuits and THEN pour some chocolate gravy over the top of everything...now I've just gone too far!

Oh great pie, I love how you decorated the top crust, too! Happy Pi Day! :)
Beautiful pie!! I sadly had no Pi for Pi Day. Yours looks so good though, I wish I had some!
hehe pi day! love it. it looks great, so do the chocolate gravy covered biscuits - yum.
Thanks for being brave and trying the chocolate gravy! Glad you liked it. And the pie looks so amazing right now. Those are some big-ass cherries. I love the idea of making pie on Pi Day...
BTW, I got some b-scotch chips. I'm gonna try to get to the post office to ship today, but if I don't make it there in time, I'll definitely do so tomorrow. :-)
Oh gosh, I've bee meaning to try those raspberry blondie bars. And now you had to go and mention that they'd make a good oatmeal creation... well, they've just been moved to the top of my to-make list!
could these pies look any more professional? the pi deco on top is ace, too.
